Concrete Repair Before Epoxy Coating

My question is in regards to doing prep work before applying epoxy floor coatings. Typically i will grind a concrete floor to remove sealer or and previous coating. I then address crack repair with Polyurea 2 part crack filler.
Regarding fixing the pock marks / divits / spalding that is usually created by salt dripping off cars.
Over the years i have tried various concrete patches that never work and will fail underneath the epoxy coating.
I tried Armorseal Express patch, a two part epoxy / concrete repair but is was too coarse for the small craters, hard to work with quick set up time and frankly overpriced. (i rarely grumble at cost of products - so long as they work). I called my sales rep and told him how disappointed i was with it.

In talking with an old time concrete time he said there is no fixing them unless doing a full depth repair.

How do others address repairing these bad areas in concrete floors before applying epoxy coatings?
Thanks.

Ardex isn't bad. Usually for divots, we'll just mix up some cab-o-sil with some epoxy for an epoxy paste. And we'll use that as a patch. And that holds up well. Or if you don't have any cab-o-sil, then you could always mix some sand with the epoxy to get a slurry.mortar. If you have a lot of spalding, you should be almost resurfacing that area. And a slurry/mortar would probably work best in that situation.

Anyone try elephant armor products? http://www.gstinternational.com/prod...ormance-mortar

I got a set of prints in a couple weeks ago specifying use of their primer, DOT mortar, and sealer to patch up some caissons.

Never heard of the stuff but the website makes it sound like magic.

Depends how large the patch is. Urethane cement is usually a great product, as long as you don't put more than a 1/2" down. It heats up so fast that it can shrink and rip your patch.

If the spalls and pop-outs are smaller, SPARTACOTE Fast Fix will work just fine on this.

For larger ones, a trowelable coat of Duracrete would be a good solution.

Ardex feather finish or Unipatch are good for thin depths. But they don't have much compressive strength. Very smooth.

For high traffic areas, I use Rapidset Cementall, much stronger but not as smooth. Can go several inches deep.

All of these dry super fast. Don't mix up 50 pounds at once!

A friend of mine uses cement all and this one from citadel, I think he's got another one in his line up depending on what he needs. The one in the photo is a feather edge product
