How are you tearing it out? I hope with some kind of power tools. I get about $1.25 here. Extra if I have to haul it off.

Recomend as far as tools?

We always use an air hammer, a lot of guys like to use a rotary hammer drill, but what I like about an air hammer is it is light weight and you can get it real close to the ground to get a good angle of attack. Residential tile it just pops them off. Commericial I have no experience with.

I have always used a rotary hammer cause that is what I have. I can see where an air hammer would be great. Either way if you have one guy on the chipper and a guy or 2 cleaning you can tear some tile out in a hurry. The bigger the job the bigger the hammer. If its a really big job they even have a tearout machine that you ride on.

Air hammer with a 2" blade ATW. Like Mike said, the angle of attack is everything. It's also more quiet,,,,,,relatively speaking.

I hear ya Teetor... I do miss the weather down there sometimes. Winters here in VA are not too bad though....hell it was 74 degrees here about a week ago. Of course Wednesday morning it was 29 when I got in the truck though. Those days suck. Alot.
