Carpet Weight

Can anyone tell me the average weight of carpet? I know it will vary but I need to estimate disposal charges.

Sorry. Completely depends on the face weight and amount being disposed.

I know it is dependant on amount. I assumed the answer would be given in either a square yard or square foot amount. And I also said average weight, implying the average (a quantity, rating, or the like that represents or approximates an arithmetic mean) weight of carpet. This is going to be used in a testomony under oath or something, just looking for a ballpark.

Thanks for all your help!

old carpet 5 to 20 pounds per square yard.
completely dependent on face weight, backing, soiling, sand, and adhesive residue if any. Sorry can't be more accurate for there are so many types of carpet out there.
