Carpet Colors

I am not a contractor. I am building a new home in pennsylvania and my wife and I our in the final phases of selecting our options. We are trying to decide on which carpet color might be better. I realize it is a personal preference issue but I am looking for color charateristics or how long it will look clean. Does one have a tendency to be harder to maintain? The colors are light to med grey and like a sand/tan/taupe kind of color on the light to med side in tone.

My question is which is better and why? or maybe better put, what are the pros and cons of each?

Thank you all for any input during this trying and anxious process of building a home. Your professional knowledge is priceless and has helped us determine what roof sheathing and what type of hardwood flooring we are choosing.

Brian

Seeing you are a homeowner, and not a contractor, please post other questions at our sister-site, DIY Chatroom.
Many of the pros here answer the questions over there. TIA
