Brazilian Cherry & Mineral Marks
Hi Guys,
I had this come across my desk for me to sort out. (problem started before my time) Brazilian Cherry engineered wood floor, customer diy fit, now complains of pin holes in the surface. manufacture has seen this and says the pin holes are infact white mineral marks below the finish. they claim this is normal and very common for brazillian cherry. my question is this, if this is very common how often have any of you guys had this happen to stuff you have sold / installed. And as it is meant to be a common problem how much brazillian cherry do you sell after you have told the end user they will also have white spots show after it is installed. many thanks

Re: Brazilian Cherry & Mineral Marks
Silica deposits. It does happen, but it isn't that common.
Manufacturing related claim.

Definatly at problem with the finish. Not your problem , the distributors problem.
