The 2 ply Kahrs does seem a little flimsy compared to the 10 ply Hartco, but that may make the installation a bit easier. As far as the stability of the Brazilian Cherry and being 2 ply, well I guess it will be ok. The slab seems dry and the recommended adhesive - This specially formulated adhesive has good early strength buildup for immediate grab and gradually builds into a tenacious but elastomeric, waterproof, insoluble bond that is highly impermeable and retardant to subfloor moisture vapor transmission (MVT) as the chemicals in the adhesive cross-link.
Overall, I think the finish and square edges will be the deciding factors. I think the bevel would bug me with the“not together” look. |
