Bostitch Flooring Stapler

hey guys, i'm installing hardwood in my house and was looking into buying the bostitch stapler (MIIIFS) and didn't know if the prefinished flooring kit was needed that they offer. its looks like a wider boot on the bottom but thats it.i figured i'd ask cause i dont floors every day OR ANY DAY.
THANX

Re: Bostitch Flooring Stapler

The stapler is good but I think the prefinish kit is worthless. I cover the shoe of the stapler with 3m blue masking tape (this also helps it slide).

The BigFoot kit is what you want. It makes the gun a LOT more stable and has rollers on the front edge that allow you to keep it down on the floor the length of the row to be stapled, no more picking it up and re-setting it for every fastener. I have them on all of my guns and think they are well worth the $30 or whatever they run now. You can order parts directly from Bostich.
