Anyone uses Shluter?

I mostly use Schluter membrane for showers. They also have a nice shower drain with pre-cut membrane pieces. It's costly - over $100 - but really high end I would say.
Rubber liner from HD is to thick for me. When you overlap it at shower corners, it get even thicker. It's complicated to do straight walls.
Or am I wrong?

Saw those at JLC Live. They look real smart, but I thought they were a lot more than $100.

Because of the fact that it's a topical waterproofing system that integrates into the drain, the system can't be beat. Everything but the tile, grout, and thinset stays nice and dry, which translates into better quality for your customer due to longevity of the installation.

Geez-- I'm starting to sound like a REP!! My buddy Bryant Bouchard (the guy in the video) would be so proud!!

Schluter Shower Systems are nothing less than State-Of-The-Art and makes more sense than any other system or combination available. They cost more to buy but less to install, the real savings will be over time.

The $100 comment is way off base-the drain alone costs about $100 and worth every penny, a complete system can be had for around $400 depending on some variables.

Bill & Bud already answered it but I'll add this.....It is the only way I do showers anymore unless it is a complete custom pan that I can't make a Schluter pan work for. Labor savings and piece of mind engineering makes it well worth the money.

edit. Same thing with Ditra....once you use it you will never want to lug in backer board ever again!

The drain is around $120
Membrane about $1.50 SF
Metal edge......depends: at HD you pay $7-8, but if you can't find it there, it may cost $20-30 at small retailer place.
I still can't figure out where to find prefabricated shower pan, shown on installation video at their web-site.
