Add gloss to ceramic.

I have a customer that bought some matte finish glazed ceramic. Now they want to put some shine on it. I personally don't know of anything that would stick to a glazed tile like this. I've only seen products for natural stone. Does anyone know of anything that might work for this?

You might try something like Miracle's Mira-gloss, but I'll tell you right now-- your customer might not be happy with it, being that wear paths will develope, and the owner's going to end up being a slave to the floor, having to recoat it every few weeks.

When it comes down to it, when you purchase a tile, what you see is what you get. The only exception to that would be rectified porcelain, which can be refinished, the same as marble.

It's been installed for about a year now! I think the real issue is that this builder put the tile in and then had his crews in there doing all sorts of other work. Now that they've cleaned up and are ready to sell the house, the tile has picked up dirt and dust and it isn't nice and new looking anymore. He probably won't care about the wear paths since he's selling it. I'll have to decided whether or not to tell him about that product. It might not be an issue for him, but I hate to have the homeowner stuck with that.

Epoxy

Clean it super well and epoxy with an industrial epox like elite crete pt1 or uv-1 if in direct sun light- the only problems with epoxies are they do tend to yellow so spend a little extra do a little homework the elite crete brand is the only one i'll use anymore it cost about $100 / gal covers 150-200 sq ft. but worth it.

Why didn't I think of it sooner, I guess you would like to see a pic of epoxy over tile.

Thanks for the photo. I'll run in by the guy and see if he is willing to put the work into doing this. My guess is that he won't but who knows.
