3/4 Oak - Meets - Tile Rooms With Tile

A home I'm CGing has 5/8 plywood as the subfloor above the joists. Has some weak dips in areas when you wall over so from underneath I have supported these areas with a 3/4 piece of Advantec nailed up underneath with 2x4's.

All of the flloors will be 3/4 oak and my concern is the bathrooms.
To line up the bathroom tile with the 3/4 wood flloors, how would you do it.

I was thinking 3/8 plywood glued and screwed, a 1/8 for Schulster Ditra and the remaining 1/4 for tile and grout. Does this sound right?

Thanks everyone

I always use hardy backer and on floors i use 1/4". The 1/4" hardy backer and tile are almost a perfect match for 3/4 hardwood.

I'd use the 3/8" ply and Ditra for my .02 worth. I really like the Ditra and I think it's superior to backerboard CBU whatever.
Especially in a bathroom where not many sq feet, easy to use, not much $$.

The only problem with the plywood and Ditra is that it only leaves you bout 1/4" for the tile, and that ain't gonna cut it, unless you're using ceramic mosaics.
