Just wondering what everyones opinion on waterproofing tiled shower walls (w/ acrylic pan) was. I was planning on using hardibacker w/Kerdi but it seems that denseshield would save me some prepwork. Is it as effective? I am a framing carpenter with a modest background doing tile work so would also like to know if installing Schluters kerdi-shower kit would be beyond my skills? I've done fairly simple tile jobs in the past - foyers, small bathroom floors, backsplash so I'm somewhat familiar with tile but not particularly familiar with mosaic or schluter products. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been recommending my customers check out granite composite sinks over the last couple years-mostly because their something different and claim to be scratch and stain resistant.

Since they are a newer animal, nobody really knew how they would look in a few years.

Most reports are great, but I have heard a few say that they are experiencing some "veining" around the drain holes. (These are Blanco products)

Anyone else have any feedback from customers? (Who have had them installed for at least 2 years)

Tile to Wall Suggestions?

Which would look best:
(1) Tiling flush with finished drywall, no grout-colored caulk (giving appearance that tile just ends in drywall?
(2) Leaving space for grout-colored caulk?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
