I recently sold my very successful plumbing business. I went to prison for 2 years for totally unrelated fraud I did in '98.
I want to go into sales. I am too young to retire.
Roof sales appeals to me. Despite the felony conviction, I have a couple of reputable roofing contractors willing to take me on. I think I'd be great.
These are NOT storm chasing outfits, but they do some of that.
2 of these places told me they get business by waiving deductibles up to $500, if the customer puts a sign in the yard. I asked both if insurance companies sees this agreement, they said no.
I just want to get a gut feel, before I drop a couple of grand getting a legal opinion from my atty. Is this legal? I am in Ohio.
I will NOT rely on your opinion, but if enough people tell me it's not legal, I'm not going to drop the money to see my atty.
If enough say it seems okay, I will pursue with my atty.
What's your feeling guys?
I can not rely on the....oh the roofing contractor is doing it, not you as the salesman. That, in my situation, could easily wind up sending me back to prison.
I really appreciate everyone who can give me their opinion.

The lower chords are resting on a wall in one half of the house and on the other half of the house they span the whole width with no support! I cant tell if the wall not being there is from new or was done after it was built! They are same trusses along the length of the house also. This is going to decide if i have to replace a wall or can remove one so marriage could be in trouble depnding on answer

Cheers guys

I've used GutterWorks.com, Guttersupply.com, American and Lynch Aluminum among others for seamless gutter hardware & tools. Coil & downspout I buy from a local building supply place, the obvious reasons being that freight cost makes it prohibitive. The per pound price is comparable or better than most online places anyway. They'll also cut large coils of color stock into custom weight or length at their warehouses 70 or 80 miles away and ship it to the local store. This means that I don't have 300 pounds of a seldom used color laying in my barn forever. It also means that I can get matching downspout easier.
Anyone have any other online sources for gutter materials that they've had good luck with?
