Our town was hit by grapefruit size hail last May.  Not only was the hail big but the Roofing Contractor's trucks that swooped in to catch a piece of the action were too-absurdly big.  All over town were roofing trucks that required a ladder and a roofer unafraid of heights to climb into.  They could be heard blocks away as they roared to the next unsuspecting homeowner.  In case that wasn't enough eye candy to get their name out there, they were completely wrapped in advertising.

All of this reminded me of a phrase from the book-"The Millionaire Next Door"-Big Hat No Cattle.  If you really want to grow your business and reputation do it the old fashioned way:  Quality Work and Attentive Customer Service.

I agree with your sentiment, the louder a guy toots his horn the more likely it is because he aint busy.

I recall the quote as "all hat and no cow"

I too agree with the sentiment. When someone makes great claims of integrity and trust, watch out.
